Chapter backgrounds

A 50+ slide deck reads as a single uninterrupted stream when every slide shares the same backdrop. These eight gradients are designed to drop into Google Slides as chapter signals — change the slide background between sections so viewers feel where they are without needing a divider slide.

All variations share the same recipe as the default: linear-gradient(45deg, <warm>80, <cool>80) over a white slide. The 50% alpha keeps the wash light enough that the orange headline, dark slate body, and muted gray secondary all keep their contrast against any of them.

Contrast budget

Calibrated against your three text colors. The binding constraint is secondary #8C929E — every stop sits at L ≥ 80 so it stays legible.

Geometry

Same 45° direction as your default. Warm stop top-left → cool stop bottom-right. This preserves the "system muscle memory" so the eye reads the variation as a hue shift, not a rebuild.

How to use

Pick 3–5 chapters in your deck (e.g. Setup → Problem → Insight → Solution → Roadmap) and assign one gradient to each. Reuse Sand→Sky for cover & closing.
